Let’s say you have a bunch of great songs stacked up
somewhere. Let’s go a little further. Let’s go ahead and assume the only
motivation you have for taking part in a musical endeavor is to make an awesome
album. Since this appears to be Dormidos al volante’s M.O, it would be safe to
say you’re in the right track.
Making great music should be the sole purpose of every band
anywhere, but DAV takes this statement so seriously that they will definitely
become, in time, a living statement.
Driving recklessly through The Jesus and Mary Chain avenue, down to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club boulevard and turning sharply down The Shins lane, without as much as
tapping the brakes, this three ex Astroboy members and their new
associates cruise along so many different neighborhoods and soundscpaes, with a surprising ease, enthusiasm and conviction that’s hard to believe.
We believe in monsters is their first album. Let’s hope it’s
not their last.
Driving like this, they won’t go astray.
